Can I purchase OppTrack without RepDollar 2000?

Yes. You can purchase OppTrack as a stand alone product.

What are the major benefits of using RepDollar 2000 and OppTrack?

  • Track and collect unpaid commissions from manufacturers, due to mistakes or other issues (most of our customers have stated that this benefit alone pays for their system within the first year!)
  • The ability to attract new and maintain existing lines - due to the "professional and got it together " appearance that our software gives the rep company
  • Easy tracking and payment of salesperson's commissions
  • Productive and efficient time management of accounts
  • The ability to track orders for on time delivery

I have multiple users within one office, can they all use the system?

Yes - the networking option supports multiple users via local area networks, peer to peer networks, dedicated or shared server networks (NT, Netware, etc.), Winframe servers, and many more. RepDollar 2000 and OppTrack can support as many users as your network can.

How do I handle multiple offices?

Separate systems can be installed in each office, but there is no data integration / consolidation. This only works if each office acts as its own autonomous business center. But if you want one common data base to be accessed by multiple offices, there are several approaches. The most successful approach (from a performance standpoint) is to use a high speed server (such as a Winframe server) which actually executes the programs on the server and just exchanges screen images and key strokes with its workstations. Your remote offices can then access this server via dial up lines, high speed dedicated lines, or via internet connections.

Are RepDollar 2000 and OppTrack compatible with Microsoft Office?

Yes. Our software is written in Microsoft Access, a component of Microsoft Office. Two major benefits to this:

  • If you are already using Office, the look and feel of our software will be familiar from day one
  • You can export any subset of your data to Word or Excel

Can I generate my own custom reports?

All RepDollar 2000 and OppTrack reports support a comprehensive array of run-time selection parameters which facilitate customizing the content of your reports. If you want to customize the format of reports, you can export any subset of your data to Word or Excel and do your own customization. And if that is not enough, Xcelsoft, Inc. will be glad to quote your customized reports requirements.

Can I export data out of RepDollar 2000 and OppTrack?

Yes - to Microsoft Word or Excel.

Can I import data into RepDollar 2000 and OppTrack?

We currently support importing all data from old RepDollar (DOS) systems and importing POS data via the Generic POS import option. A Generic OEM import option (orders and invoices) is in the works. Additionally, we will be glad to quote any custom import requirements you may have.

I want the base system, which options do I need?

Many of our customers find that the RepDollar 2000 base system is more than enough to manage and track all aspects of their business. If you are undecided, keep in mind that options can be added any time subsequent to initial purchase, usually via a "phone call update" and at the same price as if purchased with the initial system. The major uses of the various options:

  • Networking - mandatory if you need more than one user to access the system at any given time
  • Point of sale (POS) - if you get paid commission on distributor resale in your territory, you need the POS option (unless you want to blindly accept whatever commissions your manufacturers pay you)
  • POS generic import - if you have the POS option, this feature eliminates costly and time consuming data entry
  • Order expedite reports - useful if you are heavy into customer service and want detailed analysis of what is due to ship when (note that the base system does include order reports that allow you to analyze unshipped backlog, the expedite reports are a special format geared towards customer service)
  • Bookings and shipment ranking reports - most useful if you want to rank your customers, salesman, or manufacturers numerically by dollar amounts. A very useful tool for account management.
  • Management Summary reports - most useful for top level management personnel who require concise snapshot overviews of their business
  • Part Number analysis reports - useful if you need to analyze your business thoroughly by part numbers
  • OppTrack - if tracking new business opportunities and quotes is important to your business, you need OppTrack. More and more manufacturers are demanding new business opportunity accountability from their reps.

Does the system come with a users manual?

Our software comes with an extensive context sensitive on-line help system, which (in our opinion) is far more useful than a hard copy manual. But for those who prefer a hard copy manual, any or all of the on-line help system can be printed.

Does the system include a contact manager?

Multiple (no limit) contacts can be added for any given Customer / Prospect. Contacts can be sorted or extracted by inside salesperson, outside salesperson, territory, customer, zip code, state, city, and interest codes. Contact information (all, or any subset) can be exported to Word or Excel for custom mailings and labels.

How can my outside salespersons update Opportunities and Quotes from the field?

The OppTrack Replication & Synchronization option facilitates separate OppTrack databases to be maintained on notebooks or laptops, with home office synchronization on demand. Alternatively, outside persons could access the main data base via modem connections.

Are RepDollar 2000 and OppTrack user friendly?

What about technical support?

We offer unlimited technical support for those customers covered by the annual maintenance contract (required for all new systems). This includes unlimited free phone support, free bug fixes, and free updates. Xcelsoft, Inc. does not offer a pay per incident plan.
