Many reps in our industry use either the term "Principal"
or "Manufacturer". For purposes of this tutorial, we will
use "Manufacturer".
It all starts with Opportunities and Quotes if you are tracking
pre-sales activity. Here are just a few ways sales professionals
can use this system to make their jobs easier.
Capturing
the Opportunity
From the main screen you would select Opps/Quotes.

This brings up the Opportunities/Quotes main menu (below), where
you would select New Opportunities.

This brings up the Opportunities Entry screen where you can enter
new opportunities or edit existing ones. While you're on the phone,
you can capture a new opportunity by simply specifying a customer
or prospect, and assigning a project name. The rest of the information
is optional. If you are in a hurry, simply annotate the free form
notes and fill in the rest later (line items, action items, etc.).
Sales reps traveling in the field can quickly and easily add new
customers on the fly or access existing ones on demand.
